Speed Dreams 2.0.0 on FedoraFedora

Building SD2.0.0 binaries for Fedora 16/17/18

At the moment, only a unoffical srpm source package of Speed Dreams 2.0.0 is available.

The following instruction describes the mock build procedure to build rpm binaries for Fedora of speed-dreams-2.0.0.

Download the SRPM source package for Fedora:
# wget  http://dev.speed-dreams.org/Martin/speed-dreams-2.0.0-1.fc17.src.rpm -O speed-dreams-2.0.0-1.fc17.src.rpm

Choose the command for your platform and proceed as normal user:

[martin@fc17 tmp]$ mock -r fedora-16-i386 --resultdir=/tmp/mock speed-dreams*src.rpm

[martin@fc17 tmp]$ mock -r fedora-16-x86_64 --resultdir=/tmp/mock speed-dreams*src.rpm

[martin@fc17 tmp]$ mock -r fedora-17-i386 --resultdir=/tmp/mock speed-dreams*src.rpm

[martin@fc17 tmp]$ mock -r fedora-17-x86_64 --resultdir=/tmp/mock speed-dreams*src.rpm

[martin@fc17 tmp]$ mock -r fedora-18-i386 --resultdir=/tmp/mock speed-dreams*src.rpm

[martin@fc17 tmp]$ mock -r fedora-18-x86_64 --resultdir=/tmp/mock speed-dreams*src.rpm

This requires:

And for all thoose who wants to build the binaries from the spec file, the following procedure is advisable (takes at the end just as long as 900 MB must be downloaded)

Build your own SD2.0.0 rpm binaries from spec file:

a) download all necessary files

[martin@... ~]$ cd ~/rpmbuild/SOURCES

[martin@... ~]$ wget http://dev.speed-dreams.org/Martin/speed-dreams.desktop -O speed-dreams.desktop

[martin@... ~]$ cd ~/rpmbuild/SPECS

[martin@... ~]$ wget http://dev.speed-dreams.org/Martin/speed-dreams.spec -O speed-dreams.spec

b) rebuild binary from spec file, take a long time, because 900mb must be downloaded

[martin@... ~]$ cd ~/rpmbuild/SOURCES

[martin@... ~]$ spectool -g -S ../SPEC/speed-dreams.spec

[martin@... ~]$ rpmbuild -ba speed-dreams.spec

c) install the binaries e.q. for x86_64 platform

cd ~/rpmbuild/RPMS/x86_64

[root@fc17 x86_64]# rpm -ivh speed-dreams-2.0.0-1.fc17.x86_64.rpm speed-dreams-robots-base-2.0.0-1.fc17.x86_64.rpm
